Green Party candidate only supports 'good wars' against 'bad guys'

The Green Party are defending their candidate for the North Shore who served in the Afghanistan ‘war’ they previously opposed.

“He only supports good wars against bad guys,” said a statement from the party.

There is immense value in sending young people to die overseas for the decisions of their governments, he says.

“I am here to support good guys and fight bad guys, and Christopher Luxon is a bad guy… and I am a good guy.”

Jacobsen says he speaks multiple languages and has travelled to every single “important destination of US imperialism,” but is “absolutely not” what they call ‘sheep dipping’ for the NZSAS or any other government.

Jacobsen rejected the notion that he is normalising the military complex ahead of US expansion into the Pacific.
