Carlos Cheung took aim at the Opposition parties’ proposed taxes, making comparisons to the famously-dystopian game ‘Monopoly’ this week in Parliament.

The aim of Monopoly is to buy as much for yourself and kick others out of the game, which Cheung says we should all be striving for.

“If you’re lucky you go for a few rounds and are finally able to purchase a house,” he said. You work harder, want to earn more, and want to get ahead for the next forty years.

He said the top 0.7% of people paying their share of tax would deprive working people from buying a home, and he’s right.

An anonymous expert says the bottom 99.3% of people strive when the top 311 wealthiest individuals and families do.

“Trickle down economics doesn’t work, we all know that - but what does work is living your entire life with the hopes that one day you will be the richest. That you, too, can one day deprive others of what they need to survive as well.”
