The world’s most expensive coffee has been revealed as Mosgiel City.

Recently, Christchurch made the news for having a $99.99 coffee with special beans from overseas.

The new Mosgiel separatist council, determined to take the crown, has put the price of all coffee up to $1 million.

“We think this will boost our local economy and give us the much-needed funds to start up our new city since we declared independence from Dunedin,” says Mayor Benjamin Bong.

When asked for comment, critics said they were “completely behind the move” as local councils around the country are struggling to make enough money.
